What Is My Go-To Old Fashioned Recipe?
When crafting my favorite old fashioned recipe, I prefer a bourbon old fashioned. Bourbon is smooth and balanced and adds vanilla and caramel notes to your cocktails.
To bring the old fashioned recipe with bourbon to life, just add a teaspoon of sugar and a splash of hot water to a double old fashioned glass. Stir until it’s dissolved. Then add a large ice cube, two parts bourbon and two dashes of bitters and stir until your cocktail is chilled. Top it off with an orange peel garnish, expressing the citrus oils over your drink. Feeling fancy? Add a sprig of rosemary to elevate the cocktail.
