Auchentoshan® American Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky
or
Kilbeggan® Single Grain Irish Whiskey
&#190; part Fresh Squeezed
Lemon Juice
&#190; part
Honey-Ginger Syrup*
&#188; part
Laphroaig® Select
Garnish:
Candied Ginger

Instructions

Combine the Auchentoshan® or Kilbeggan® with the honey-ginger syrup and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker and fill three-quarters full with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass over fresh ice. Gently float the Laphroaig® on top of the cocktail. Garnish with candied ginger or a lemon twist. 

 

*Honey-Ginger Syrup:
Combine 1 cup of honey, one 6-inch peeled and sliced piece of ginger root and 1 cup of water in a small pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Refrigerate overnight, then strain, discarding the solids.
